History

Although we made the first transfers from England to Poland in 2005, while still operating as a sole proprietorship, we have been making money transfers on a larger scale since 2010, i.e. since the limited liability company was registered under the name England.pl. A lot has changed in the last 14 years. England.pl is now one of our brands, and our company is called Fintecom.

On September 5, 2023, Fintecom S.A. was entered in the KRS register, which was established from the transformation of the previous Fintecom Sp. z o.o.

June 2022

Integration of our transaction system with Santander Bank’s GTB Connect system, enabling transaction automation and better monitoring of transfers in terms of AML.

May 2022

Assignment of a separate Business Identifier Code (BIC) number to our company Fintecom Sp. z o.o. by the SWIFT organization.

January 2022

Signing an agreement with the equity crowdfunding platform EMITEO, in order to prepare information materials and construct a communication strategy for conducting a crowdfunding campaign on the Emiteo platform.

September 2021

Fintecom Limited was registered in the United Kingdom as a subsidiary of Fintecom Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Koszalin, which acquired 100% of the shares in the British Company.

November 2020

Connecting some processes in transaction systems with the GG messenger, allowing GG to instantly provide information about transactions or authorization codes.

September 2020

Opening a bank account in the British bank ClearBank. Thanks to cooperation with ClearBank and deposits in the Bank of England, Fintecom was directly included in the British Faster Payments system.

October 2019

Change of the company name from England.pl to FINTECOM. The new name is to correspond to the broader scope of the Company’s activities, which are located on fintech services and communication.

April 2019

Extension of the permit issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to include issuing payment instruments and maintaining accounts.

August 2018

Launch of a new service under the FX City brand, used to carry out money transfers within European Union countries.

March 2018

Purchase of the GG (Gadu-Gadu) messenger, iconic Polish instant messenger.

August 2017

Passporting the permit issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to all European Union countries.

November 2015

Purchase of an office building to act as a new Company headquarters at ul. Piłsudskiego 45 in Koszalin.

February 2013

Purchase of premises intended for the Company’s headquarters at ul. Bałtycka 2/11 in Koszalin (sale: April 2019).

January 2013

Obtaining permission from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to operate as a National Payment Institution.

October 2012

Launch of the first transaction system for the England.pl service, designed to manage money transfers between Poland and the United Kingdom.

August 2010

The beginning of a limited liability company under the name England.pl Sp. z o.o. based in Koszalin.
