The history of Fintecom

Although we made the first transfers from England to Poland in 2005, while still operating as a sole proprietorship, we have been making money transfers on a larger scale since 2010, i.e. since the limited liability company was registered under the name England.pl.

A lot has changed in the last 10 years. England.pl is now one of our brands, and our company is called Fintecom.

  • August 2010

    The beginning of a limited liability company under the name England.pl Sp. z o.o. based in Koszalin.

  • October 2012

    Launch of the first transaction system for the England.pl service, designed to manage money transfers between Poland and the United Kingdom.

  • January 2013

    Obtaining permission from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to operate as a National Payment Institution.

  • February 2013

    Purchase of premises intended for the Company's headquarters at ul. Bałtycka 2/11 in Koszalin (sale: April 2019).

  • November 2015

    Purchase of an office building to act as a new Company headquarters at ul. Piłsudskiego 45 in Koszalin.

  • August 2017

    Passporting the permit issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to all European Union
    countries.

  • March 2018

    Purchase of the GG (Gadu-Gadu) messenger.

  • August 2018

    Launch of a new service under the FX City brand, used to carry out money transfers within European Union countries.

  • April 2019

    Extension of the permit issued by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority to include issuing payment instruments and maintaining accounts.

  • October 2019

    Change of the company name from England.pl to Fintecom Sp. z o.o.
